“The Friends of St Botolph’s Lullingstone” is a charity with the sole purpose of helping to maintain and improve the church building, fabric and churchyard. Money raised does not go towards the general running costs of the church, which are funded by the congregation.
Members of The Friends give a minimum annual donation £10, preferably by Gift Aid. This may be done by Standing Order but all other options are gratefully received. If you are a UK taxpayer, the great advantage of completing a Gift Aid Declaration is that the Friends are able to claim back from the Inland Revenue 25p for every £1 donated.
If you would like to become a Friend contact efloffice3@gmail.com or pick up an enrolment form from the book-case at the back of the church.
To those who are already contributing £10 per person per year, (and in some cases much more generous donations) to be a Friend of St. Botolph's Church, Lullingstone, the committee wish to say thank you very much indeed for helping to maintain this beautiful old church.
In addition to subscriptions the Committee of The Friends of St Botolph’s Lullingstone organise a varied programme of events to raise more money for the upkeep and beautification of the church.
What has been achieved?
In 2010, following a Quinquennial report on the church fabric, the Friends were able to contribute £20,000 to repairs to the Church, principally for the reroofing of the South side of the nave.
