Benefice of Eynsford with

Farningham & Lullingstone

Funerals

A funeral is used to mark the end of a person's life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping. These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.

St Martin's Churchyard in Eynsford is closed to new burials, but burials can still take place in existing graves. The churchyards of St Peter & St Paul's in Farningham and St Botolph's in Lullingstone are open with limited spaces.

Every parishioner has a right to be buried, or have their ashes buried in their churchyard. Others with a significant link to the parish may be buried at the discretion of the Rector and churchwardens.

We seek to be as supportive and helpful as we can to those suffering the loss of a loved one. During the interregnum please contact the office if you need any assistance.
